... last time I heard, but in Instow, not up here in Scotland.
I don't know of any usable DUKWs left in Scotland now. There were a couple of hulks at the Scottish Maritime Museum, and another couple up north, but no original / usable vehicles. They were used extensively for training during WW2 in the Cylde estuary, not too far from the current Trident base I think?

This is a RN-registered DUKW at a Lorry Driver of the Year Competition at I think in Portsmouth though I keep thinking it was in fact not a civvy compo but a military one..RN and Royal Marines.

Thanks for the replies gents. I don't know whether to be glad that these great machines are still in military use or to be annoyed that our poor troops are having to use obsolete equipment (not quite the helicopter argument I know but still.......)
