Thanks for your reply regarding the water bottle covers, do you have a contact address for the guy in the states? and will his covers fit our Aust water bottles, thanks in advance.

Sabre Sales in the UK used to have both British and Canadian Covers in stock. Quite what their current stock is I do not know.

British waters bottle covers were changed to a green felt during the 1930's whilst the Canadian's continued making the WW1 Tan colour. Not sure what the Austrailan pattern looks like.

Thanks for the information on Sabre sales I have sent them an E mail, do you happen to have a pic of a English water bottle that you can post so that I can get an idea of what the cover may look like, if you dont have a pic maybe annother one of our members could be good enough to supply a pic ?

I bought a couple of Aussie water bottle web holders some time ago, and they fit my NZ water bottles, (which may have come from anywhere in the commonwealth!)

The only other size water bottle I have seen is the Medics one which is larger and comes with a tiny metal cup.

Here's a picture of the standard Commonwealth '37 Pattern water bottle. I think you'll find they are similar regardless of which country made them. The blue enamel dates from WW1 and was changed to khaki some time mid-WW2.
