That Alcan Hwy story was areal treat.
The stories about the muskeg bogs reminded me of Rottnest Island here in Western Australia. During the war there was a sizeable garrrison of Coastal artillery, Engineers and even an underground Hospital installed on the Island to protect the approaches to Fremantle. During the construction of the roadways across the island it is rumoured that a caterpillar bulldozer sunk in a swamp and was never seen again. To this day there is a prominent feature known even on maps as 'bulldozer swamp'... Makes you wonder ? Cheers Phill

First and third are D7, second is a D6 I think. The rounded back to the bonnet is the giveaway for the D7.

This Cat appeared at the Great Dorset this year, as to which model it is, I'll leave that to the experts !
