If the price is 4500 euro someone is going to have a very good deal.

I think he probably does mean 45000 euro and with the shortage of good carriers someone silly may pay it.

Hi Neil and others. This is my first time on here! I have been following some of the threads lately. Especialy the derilict carrier coming from Canada. I'll follow that with interest. As Neil and Nigel know. I have owned a MK2 Canadian carrier for a good few years now. I have prepared it in Welsh Guard stowage, and it's marked up in 43rd Wessex.

Ron, you have an awesome carrier ! are you in the UK ? mind folks Neil and I do not mean to cause offence or suggest the carrier on milweb is not worth much, its more a case of "BLIMEY ARE THEY FETCHING THAT MUCH" material value is in the eye of the beholder as they say

Ron can you email me your address so i can plot you on my map of carrier owners infact that goes for all you guys T16's etc etc if its a tracked carrier and you want to be plotted drop me an email

Hallo and welcome, Ron! Nice carrier...

BTW, you can actually list five pics at a time... just look closely at the pop-up box instructions.

Thanks for the compliment Geoff and Tim. I've realised you have to upload the pictures one at a time.

T14717 would make it a Car, Scout MkI ! It is sort of!! T14017 makes it a Sentinel Wagon built UC MkI (or MkII as Contract changed over to MkII at some stage in production).

Too much champagne Ron!
I remember the first carrier I ever saw in real life too, Ronald Truscotts Loyd was the first I ever rode in and first Loyd I'd seen and yours was the one I remember seeing prior to my book research. So there!

You wouldn't like to take it over to Normandy and display it at Tilly sur Seulles. I would look after it. I'm attending the Normandy Book Fair which I was invited to, they were looking for a carrier to display outside their museum.

No carrier to Normandy this year Nigel. I'm heavily involved in the 65th motorcycle tour. We have a special invite from the mayor of Arramanches to attend the ceremonies on D Day, we are anticipating 130-150 bikes. Ron

ok an update on this carrier, Antonio sent me a few pictures of it, a few things dont add up perhaps Nigel may clarify, but from my limited knowlege it appears to be a Mk1 fitted out with Mk2 bits, the front gunners plate is one peice without the fold down section (i thought this was mk2) the gauge is Mk2, the fender skirts appear not to be correct, nevertheless a really nice carrier, hope he gets what he wants for it !

Rich

What about me, I'll look after it. It could sit proudly beside my books!!! And I could admire it and tick it over every now and then!
