Thanks for the info and Pics, Id like to see the fabric one better, I dont supose you made a template of one before you sewed it up ?
 I have fabric just need to know how to make it, Ive enclosed some pics of whats left of mine, cant really make out the stuff under the retainer but my best guess is a rotten type rubber or fabric. Also attached are pics of the Mac's pedal plates and pads pretty fancy for a 1942 truck ! Pics attached
