Very unusual truck though Keith. It is amazing just what modifications some of these trucks have had over the years but more amazing is wondering where the rest of the original vehicles whose parts were used are located now.

The rear face of the cab "roof" looks like the base of the cab back and roof where it joins to the lower part of the cab back. It seems possible that someone wanted an open back for their cab (to see/access whatever deck or winch they had mounted) and took part of what was now the surplus upper cab back and joined it to the roof, reasoning that the angle iron would do a great job of stiffening the cab roof. There looks to be a crosswise joint on the roof at about the point where this theory would suggest.
