I wish they would have put the chassis # clearly marked in more than one spot would make this process of finding it easier, others told me where on the frame it is but cannot make my head move into that position to see it short of pulling the front end off, which might happen anyhow one day ![]() well off for a cup of morning Joe ![]()

You should be advised that on many early 13-cab F15As you may well not find any chassis serial number anywhere on the vehicle other than that on the door-mounted data plate - which means that if the data plate's gone, you're on your own. You might have limited success crossreferencing the engine number with another vehicle which has a known chassis number, but only if the engine is original; other than that it's basically "pick one", preferably close to that of another another known, registered vehicle of the same era; I don't know the legal technicalities of that, but I imagine the government motor vehicle lackies can advise you, and that number they accept would have to be stamped into the frame for verification.
