Looks like I was partly right about the track going for a bit more than the $2400. It was actually a lot more...$6309 Cdn on a snipe in the last 11 seconds of the auction.

It's getting so we will have to start hiring security guards to protect our carriers when we are away from home.

Thanks Rob,

Bren Gun (Universal) Carrier, Unused (new) Tracks- WWII Item number: 270307022385

My guess is these tracks are take-offs, IŽve seen rolls like this before and they were never new. As far as I know new links came in sections of 21.

Basically carriers were fitted with a continuous length of track at the factory, but in a service situation it was supplied in 21 link sections.
