Les I used the 1940, 41, 42 etc behind things like Army & New Guinea or Normandy and got heaps of photos often up to the 200 limit.

Another thing to remember is you can get a real large image by clicking on the link at the bottom of the large photo that shows up when you click on the thumb nail.

Thanks Cliff, tried em with army and dates got one i have given up now i waste to much time going nowhere with it how on earth can a huge American set up like this not reconise its own icons ie Hoover Dam or Alaskan Highway beggers belief

One of the things that worries me is that if Google is so obviously deficient here, what does that say about its' abilities in general ?

Why also, the 200 hits restriction ? The most powerful search engine in the world and it's less useful for shooting off at tangents than the IWM or the Canadian archives (to name but two)

A missed opportunity, I feel.
