... Kuno just sent me this link with very nice Chev's.

Do a search with "Tunisia" or "El Guettar". Very nice colored pics of trucks'n'tanks.

... sorry Keith, Max's old Ute looks more stylish and is a show winner. That's the reason I didn't recognised it at first sight

I have to disagree Hanno. It appears that it's got a US style pickup body ...or something like it, you can see the rear corner outline silhouetted . The Aussie ute bodies are 'fatter' at the back... with narrow rear guards. Those Fords were used by the South African army and many others I would think. A generic vehicle of U.S. origin , assembled all over the world !

Just my opinion

Mike,

How could I argue with one of Australia´s experts? Googled some images to convince myself, concluded you must be right. Thanks for being eagle-eyed!

@ Zemsi; tried to re-do the shots at the gates of Tripoli-Median today; light was not good and the place was too crowded with cars. Will have to try again :-(

Default reality check ?

The pic of the MW Bedford is a reality check for us . It is covered in grime and oil stains and it has that 'used' look to it that we as restorers don't want. Sure, the cars looked nice when issued, but how long did that last . Having said that, the vehicle behind looks to be well kept !
