I have checked my photos for 1940-41 military Fords and they have five grille bars and the hood appears different, plus the front fenders are distinctive here...they differ from the MILITARY Ford ones which may be cut-away in the wheel arch though.

IT IS A FORD!!!!!......civilian guards and with non matching bonnet (hood) No other make of vehicle had the 3 bars around the cab like the Fords did.

Remember not all vehicles of this era were Military or ex-military versions!
