Thanks guys. Thanks for the pics Kevin. I think our main switch unit has one more position on it for the lights than your picture, off, tail, s&t & all from memory. Our English wiring diagram shows only the main light switch & doesn't mention the smaller toggle switches at all. Is it possible these toggles are a Canadian only feature? If not it seems weird that these light controls are doubled up? Your quite right about those tight tracks Ledsel, very difficult to get on! Our carrier has had a very hard hit in the front at some stage and bent the front idler mounts and mounting bolts back. The tracks have been shortened 1 link despite their good condition due to the bent idlers we guess, now that we have repaired all the damage the tracks are a bit on the tight side. I'm sure they'll loosen up fine.

Default switches

Mine is a MKII, but one switch is for the dash lights and one is for the fuel gauge (left tank and right tank)

Forgot to say that we had to fabricate that part of the dash so not sure wether to put the switches in or not. All the photos and drawings we have seem to be Canadian carriers, not English. Dash light would make sense though.

Hi, Have you guys got the British carrier instruction/maintenance manual ?. I have attached a front cover picture below, I can send you the full copy on CD disc when we sort out the hinge purchase, I am sure there's a detailed picture of the dash and wiring/circuit diagram in there. I have attached a couple of pics of a british Mk1 Dash.

Our dash is different to your samples of MK1 dash's Kevin. There is another English MK1 here from the same batch as ours with this dash, he does have the switches but haven't contacted him as to what they do yet. It looks like I'd better put them in anyway. Would be keen on a copy of that manual thanks. Those hinges going to do the job? Would anyone out there have the correct starter & horn buttons for sale?
