Default Depots well spread out

Bob,

Try Tamex Transport.
http://www.tamex.com.au/

They shipped the Servex winch for a fellow Blitzonian recently. If you are after a vehicle ship, PM me.

If its really heavy items (like Carrier Wheels) I recommend you place said items on a pallet before you drop them off for freighting. 99% of stuff these days is moved on a pallet. Easy to obtain to almost any shape or size for free..... Try your local floor tile shop. They can't give the pallets away!!

For others, a cheap method of freight is Busfreight. Up to about 20KG is $20 almost all over the Eastern States. (look in the yellowpages). Use a sturdy rated box,(with crush rating on side) and pack items in plastic shopping bags (stuff them full of crushed newspaper). This is wayyy cheaper than bubble wrap...

Default Interstate Transport

Thanks Colin & Ian. I like the look of both suggestions and will place an Ad with the "need a backload" mob. Tamex sounds interesting as well. Of course we could have this massive field trip and charge the freight ourselves. Now let us see. Carrier wheel 38kg (84lbs) equates to about 26 wheels to the tonne/ton.

I have plenty of pallets. Road distance 4600km pickup round trip plus delivery return round trip making a grand total of 9200kms. Could also be the possibility of other pickup points and/or delivery to Corowa next year. Hmmm!! Back to the drawing board and more research.
