Default Carrier Dash Panel

Hi all, particularly Ron - I think you were spot on with this panel being ex. Strickland. I have sent images to Bruce Strickland, grandson of Jack, for confirmation. My quandry now is do I restore it as a Carrier or Strickland panel?

Default Strickland Panel

Hello Bob,
Many thanks for your reply, My opinion for what its worth is, that its far better to keep it as an original Jack Strickland conversion. If that it is what it seems to be as other people are restoring Strickland carriers and it would be ideal to fit back into one of thoses carriers as a matter of interest I spoke to Phil on Thursday of last week and in his words he bought a cut down carrier years ago to restore but never got around to it, so its odd on that it was or is a Strickland conversion,
Best Regards, Ron

Default Re. Suspected Strickland Panel

Hi Ron - I am inclined to agree with you as far as keeping it Strickland, if that is what it is. As previously stated I am waiting for Bruce Strickland to get back to me for confirmation.

Bob

Bob,
Sounds like you have a Horny Dilemma. One of those rare occaisions where something modified may be worth more than the original.
The impression I had was that this panel had nothing to do with any of Phils vehicles, and that he knew it was a Carrier Speedo because thats what the guy who gave it to him said it was. Willing to be corrected, and will ask when I see him next.
Rich
