Luke,
Welcome to the MLU forum! An international collection of unstable people with an appetite for rusty old trucks... Where in this wide brown land are you? I know of a couple of these kind of trucks around the area, but I would love a photo so we can see what exact truck we are talking about. Photo please? If you have trouble posting the pics, feel free to email them to me. Howard.

Ask Eddie Ford, the publisher if he has a copy:
restoredcars@iinet.net.au Mike, you might be right with the Holden cab...GM-Holden's used the same cab for instance on Vauxhall, Bedford and Chevrolet light commercials 1934/5-6, and in 1937-8 could well have done the same in the heavier line with Bedford, Chevrolet, GMC, Maple Leaf, and Oldsmobile trucks! The ML in the 1937-8 was a 'clone' of the Canadian GMC, with minor differences, and Chevrolet engines. The Olds trucks were also a GMC 'clone' but of course of the Pontiac, Michigan -built GMCs with the Olds 224 engine that was also used in GMCs! You might therefore find the parts you need in a Holden-cab Bedford, GMC, Chevy or Olds! David Last edited by David_Hayward (RIP); 08-07-08 at 13:01. |
