Oh, No, It's HIM again . . . .
On my modelling table are two of the ICM Studebaker 6x6 trucks. Nice model by the way, just fiddly enough to be a challenge and engineered cleverly enough to keep the wary worker on his toes. Recommended to serious truck (or is it lorry?) modelers. I am looking for color photos of the Hercules JXD engine so I can attempt a reasonably accurate paint scheme. I intend to position two confused Russian squaddies over and around the open bonnet. (I have the figures; they are perfect.) I have done the obligatory Google search and came up nearly dry. I am looking for WWII paint schemes. I suspect that the medium or lime green that our forces used to use would be about right but any and all details would be appreciated. I have some photos of White scout car and half-track engines, and the big diesel that served in the Sherman III, but no JXD's. I did find Hanno's old thread about the bloke selling the Studebaker but the bonnet was closed. In advance, thanks a heap. Bob ![]() |
