Canadian Dodge Breakdown?

I wnder how Chrysler became involved? I know that the Canadian arm produced bodies but that would not be "the case" here. Odd.

The serial number starts 969, so that lines up with a DT wrecker. It maybe that Chrysler packed the vehicles, strange things happened in wartime between companies that in peace time, would be competitors.
