Default Hobart Welder

Hi Guys

Wanting to know more about this Hobart Welder that I found recently.

I believe it is WW2 vintage and 100% complete.

It has a Hudson (Chrysler) flat six side valve motor, is painted Olive Drab and has ID numbers on top.
The object on top is a lifting eye.

Can someone tell me more? What part did it play within the Australian Army? What would it have been mounted on - trailer or truck?

Thanks
Tommy K
