many thanks Rod,
Identifying all this wonderful military kit has been made so much 'easier' with access to collectors around the globe.

I figured it was a Mil Carb because of the Cast iron 'bullet proof' casting, similar to the brute produced for my WC56. (another huge project in itself).

At the very least I can now advertise it with surety of its lineage.

btw, is there a buy/sell/swap portion for MLU or do we advertise via this forum?
