Refitting Lugs to a WW1 Cap Badge

This posting has a practical/engineering theme to it.

I purchased an excellent WW1 16th Cdn Horse cap badge from Marway Militaria.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to refit a pair of lugs to the back?
Or where I can get an extra pair of lugs in the first place without removing them from another badge??

I look forward to your replies - I figured I should ask before I make the attempt (with the potential to cause damage).
