just as rare as having the planets in alignment do we see two large militaria shows near coincidement!
March 18th and 19th. Our very own Dave DeMorrow is hosting the Belton Militaria Show. Belton is a stone's throw from Texas' Fort Hood, which itself has a good museum. Dave's show will have displays, vendors, and reenactors from the Civil war to the present. March 25th. Brent Mullins, of Brent Mullins Jeep Parts fame will be hosting the show battle; Breaching the Sigfried Line. There will be at least three tanks and several AFVs along with a 105 mm arty position firing with downrange pyro response. Engineers (me included hopefully) will be blowing tank traps and Dragon's Teeth to clear the way. This event takes place at College Station, near Houston. For those of you on a budget, I can host a couple of my fellow M.L.U.ers at my place. Here's an excellent opportunity to take in two great shows, soak your cold non-Texan butts in some warmth, and see the sights of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. There are several suppliers of parts for M.V.s in the area: Rapco, Wallace Wade, 820 Jeep parts as well as several surplus stores. There are also a couple of good aviation museums nearby, and if you want to see the grandaddy of them all, you can rent a car and go see the Confederate Air Force out at Midland. Fifi, the world's only flight worthy B 29 is out there! ![]() ![]() ![]()
