Default Canadian Lancaster Update

Canadian built Lancaster FM212 has resided on a concrete post in Windsor, Ontario, Canada for the last 50 odd years. A report on it's deterioration prompted the city to remove this artifact, which they did, as chronicled in these pictures. The aircraft was removed from it's plinth then opened to the public to raise funds. It was then sent to a city storage area to await it's fate. In it's place, much to the credit of the City of Windsor, has been placed mockups of a Mk.VIII Spitfire and Mk. I Hurricane. These fiberglas 1:1 scale models are so good, you have to touch them to determine if they are real or not. Today, I saw a 'Hurricane' marked to 401 Squadron, RCAF 'fly', as it was set on it's new perch.
