CCC used a 6 x 4 and 6 x 2 arrangement to 1945, and the 6 x 2 I think used a standard Fordson rear axle though the 6 x 4 used a 'Thornton'-style transfer case and Fordson? rear axle. Unipower were the other 6 x 4 people that everyone knows of and they were evidently Marmon-Herrington agents and may also have used Thornton components as well.
