Rob, You must have had exposure to pilots during your military time... "I once thought I made a mistake, then I realized I was wrong...."
Possibly the car's driver was blinded by the airplane's landing light (as the pilot flew along minding his own business, trying to scare the everloving ___ out of innocent motoists).
