Default 1939 Chevrolet WA truck bonnet/hood catch

This should be quite quick.
I'm trying to help out the Imperial War Museum in London with some information. They want to photograph the engine compartment of their LRDG 1939 Chevrolet WA truck, but are unsure of where the hood/bonnet release handle is. They obviously don't want to cause any damage to the truck. Any information/advice on the best way to do it after 80 years will be greatly appreciated!
