I have asked this question on other forums with no luck. This is a photo of a wheel used on the L.R.D.G. 15wt pilot cars. ½ ton pickup as I know it. In no photo can I see the cutouts typical on all Ford wheels. This may be do to the bright sun and the shadow it cast. It may also be the wheels were switched out from another British vehicle perhaps in need of a wider rim for the desert tires. Stock wheels would have only been 4 ½” wide. If you think you have spotted a full smooth wheel like this on another British vehicle of the time period 39, 40, 41 please let me know. I’m guessing they are still 16”
