Greetings all. I’m new to MLU but have fount the articles and insights quite helpful thus far.
I have an M151A2 CDN that I’m trying to get back to stock CF early 80s. Whomever did the initial restoration (by that I mean the guy that welded it back together - straight as an arrow, I must say) repainted it in black and CARC green cam (that has to change), but also put on the rear corner radio antenna mount that belongs on a US veh. I’ve managed to make new brackets and install the mirrors on the fenders and acquire an Ansul extinguisher and bracket, but now I need to focus on correcting the comms setup. I’m looking to see if anyone would know where I could locate the proper mount that sits on the spare tyre mount, or even just the snaller ones that mount to the plates on the back of the ROPS cage. Need to make sure my 9-er’s rover looks the part. I’m also interested if anyone has insights on where or if an SMG stowage bracket was typically installed in M151A2s. They went out of service 18 months before I joined the CF, so all my experience has been with CJ7 (briefly) and the Iltis. Thanks! |
