I’m currently overhauling my jeep transmission and have discovered a bit of a quandary, looking for some assistance.
The manual specified that the transmission is supposed to be a Warner T90C. My trans is tagged on the top cover with T90C data plate. Now, here is the issue- A T90C has a 35 tooth cluster gear and a 16 tooth input gear. A T90A has a 33 tooth cluster gear and a 18 tooth input gear. Mine has the 33/18 set which would make it an A model transmission. It seems that for whatever reason I have this set, wondering if the CF rebuilt it as an A model, was this an earlier transmission that was swapped, did they play mix and match or did they come ordered this way? My jeep is a 1970 Cdn3 model. The transmission appears to be original equipment Ideas anyone?
