The truck is a C60X 3ton 6x6 Chevrolet CMP.
They were powered with a 270 Cu In GMC 6 cylinder overhead valve petrol engine similar to that used in the American GMC CCKW. The engine laying on the chassis seems to be a 270. These Canadian built trucks were somewhat heavier in the drive train than the CCKW and were considered by many to be a better truck. In post war sales I believe they sold for more than the CCKW.
