Also what do people use for the snaps that hold the padding on to the wood. Is the wood just plywood and what thickness would it be. Ive also noticed that some people use canvas for the material while others seem to have the some kind of thick textured vinyl.

Athought my machine is a MkII*, the seats could probably be made the same.

I used the vinyl "school bus" seat material, in a happy green tone.

The seat pads are captivated with press the dot style studs and clips that were availible from our frineds at CTC in the specialty parts binsalongside the brass wingnuts and polyurethane washers.

Our pal Perry Kitson ( the real one, not Charlie Fitton ) had the seats made up a few years back, and I am very happy with them. The vinyl material sheds the water, where a canvas cloth may have held in to rot.

Do you have a source for canvas sewing - or are you a seamstress as well as historic military vehicle restorer?
