The aging of the Empress has long been celebrated as a national holiday here in the County of Middlesex. Barring any unforseen mishaps with the royal fireworks, I think it shall once again be a most excellent day.

Many thanks for your thoughtful greetings. Geoffrey (formerly the Zephyrian) did, in fact, make the coffee this morning, however, I was forced to fetch it myself to the Royal Office. A sad sign of things to come? We hope not! Only one thing keeps me going - and that is comfort in the fact that Geoffrey is & always will be, MUCH older than the Empress!

I am wondering if the royal present will be something khaki? That just might push me over the edge!
