Hi Richard,
I'm not sure if I understand correctly; are you switching from the alternator to a generator? Or did you find another alternator that you want to put on your jeep? If you are switching from alternator to generator, you will also need the voltage regulator from the early model vehicle setup.

I can check the bracket width for the alternator if that is what you need.
