I purchased this 1941 F60L as a cab chassis back in about 1996 from the Wagga Wagga Truck Wreckers. It came with a large quantity of new spare pares and is obviously a low mileage truck. It has Ford Script fanbelts and its original exhaust system with curved ends on the muffler.
Cab 12 1941 F60L 020.JPG I also acquired the Recuperator Service Body from Hughes Trading of Coburg about the same time and united them. Unfortunately it was well down on the list for restoration and I made the decision to pass it on to another owner. Cab 12 1941 F60L 052.JPG Originally fitted with engine No. 2G38743F it was being set up by a previous owner to tour Australia. On the left there is a fuel tank from a short wheel base GMC 6x6 as well as the original on the right. It was fitted with brand new 11.00x20. tyres. Here is photo of the recuperator body on a Cab 13. cmp1361.jpg
