They don't have to be wrinkle-finish, I've got some that are plain matt in OD or SCC No.2 (later: Service Brown) and have the stores code stamped into the metal rather than stencilled.
Your repro versions look Far Too Nice compared to my originals, though.  Exceptionally good work. Chris. (Finished the house move (I think) now waiting for my back to recover.)
