He told me that it was that or be sucked into working in his Dad's television shop in the UK, which he didn't fancy. David has an amazingly broad range of knowledge, not only about AFVs but also all other aspects of military history of the 20th century. He was also very helpfull to me when I was able to visit Bovy regularly researching tank stuff.
