Hi Mike, Yes I checked the parts book again. The spacer (if I have the right one) is a 1794274. This is not used on the 8 or 15 models. So I must have a plate for one of these. I hope someone could back me up on this.
About my motor, I have had the crankshaft balanced from the harmonic balancer to the fly wheel & pressure plate. The pistons (cast iron NOS) & rods were difficult, 6+ ounces on some.
I notice you have some Morris commercials, I have an LD5, have had LD2s as well, a fleet of them over the years. I have many spare parts, but don’t know how much would be compatible with what you may have. I have given my last one a ground up restoration. Mine have Austin engines. I have had some that had crash boxes,& others with the Austin Gipsy syncro 4WD English army box.
Ken Thomas.
