Many of the Cdn2 were made in 1968. I suspect the DND used the model or contract year in this case for the Cdn2 CFRs and delivery dates. I am going by recollection here, but will check some of my data plates to confirm.

I recall stripping a frame some 30 years ago and finding the date of Jan 1968 painted on the frame over the black base coat but under the olive green overcoat.
