Default Axe brackets

My 53 M38A1 has the brackets and had the holes for the radio mounts as well. I guess with a radio you didn't need an axe! So with the radio holes welded up to stop water from shooting up through them when in the rain and until I find a suitable replacement for it... there will be an axe there..More use to me in the big city than more radio.
Funny the local and federal laws will alloy you to carry an axe out in the open but not a replica fake or dummy weapon mounted to the body...makes the mind wonder...Oh to be a Senator...Shoulda been a newscaster!
