As this F8 is a Cab 12, it could originally have been fitted with the "long box", right?

F8 Cab12; so it could either have been fitted with a short box or a long box, depending if it's early or late. I presume this particluar one was fitted with a lenthened short box (everyone still there? ;-)), which they then reproduced because it was too bad to restore.

For me the question now is whether the replica box on the truck was copied from a "lengthened short box" or a "long box"?

Copied from a "lengthened box".......as the design of the "long box" is different (sides look different with less ribs, front panel of box is shaped differently, rear panel is different as well).
