Sorry about the holdup in coming back to you. Have been flat out with work. Thanks to you both for the photos. That has given me a real good idea to work from to make up some replacement braces. I have a pretty good idea now of how they are shaped and I will make something up, temporarily fit the guard and test the brace in place before finalising it.
