Educate me, please

Ladies & Gents, I found my way here back when the forum was on Network 54, however long ago that was, and was/am a Universal Carrier student and buff.

Now CMPs (I guess they rub off on you) are interesting to me. Please, could someone explain what the different "Cab" numbers refer to? I suspect that different styles of driver/co-driver compartments are the subject, but I'm not positive.

I'm a Yank (Don't hold it against me), and was U.S. Army 1961-1964 (Active), mostly in Stuttgart, Germany. That puts me at the bottom of the learning curve about CMPs.
