Default Minor progress

There was a minor heat wave earlier this week when the temps went up from alternating between slightly below and slightly above freezing. The weather went up to 21 deg C (or just over 70 deg F) for a day. Having anticipated the requirement, I had pressure washed off the dirt and scale a few weeks ago. Then with some fresh red oxide rust preventative paint (Tremco), I gave both sides of the floor a thorough coat. Four-inch foam roller on the flats and corrugations, spray can on the edges and recesses. Looks much better, and I'm feeling less inclined to rip out the floor and replace it. (Discretion is a virtue that military vehicle work is teaching me.)

For the curious, here are some snaps I took of the project. Notice how the frame is an L-shape, with a 90-deg lip of the floor and the sidewall all flatwelded together. The crosspieces and tongue supports are C-channel and a few reinforcements are shallow hat-channel.
