I know this thread is supposed to be for WW2 wireless but I am seeking a technical guru who knows and understands post war radios like the PRC-77. I have two that fire up, make a lot of hissing noise and that is about it. When I depress the send on the handset I do get an interruption in noise on the other and vice versa. I believe these to be operational but who knows. Is it possible to have bad handsets, antenna etc? What should I look for when troubleshooting them? It would be even better for me if we have a local radio expert in the area that could have a look at these for me.
