Default Haymill Camp

We have of course touched on all this before in previous thread[s] aboutn the Haymill Camp that was located nearish to the Canadian Mechanization Depot in the Citroen Cars Ltd works on the Slough Trading Estate.

The Camp was in fact Haymill Camp in Burnham Lane, and it was thought that it might have been the original Royal Engineers camp, dating from the previous war and possibly recently-vacated by British troops. The camp was by then occupied by 2 (Overseas) Detachment R.C.O.C. personnel, amongst others.
