Canadian vehicle colours

I am working on a model of a Canadian CMP 4x4 15 cwt truck produced by Italeri. Now I have two kits of this model and both kits give different paint schemes. One says the truck (and canvas rear cover) should be painted dark green with black above and below. The other says it should be dark gray above and below. Which is correct? Is either one correct as I have not seen any photos that show this scheme (then again all I have seen are black and white.)? In addition the Tamyia models for the Chevrolet gun tractor give dark yellow in one kit and dark green in a different kit. Again which is correct? I am interested in the colours used in Europe after D-Day or Italy.
How accurate are the colour schemes for Canadian vehicles and armour, given in these model kits?
