He took part in D-Day in 1944 and ended up in Germany at the end of the war but I know very little in between.
Guy;

Welcome to the forum.

The War Diary for Serial 752 - The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders can be found at Library and Archives Canada, Ottawa, Ontario, see here: http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/v...s/index-e.html

The file references for the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders War Diary are:

Reference: RG24, National Defence, Series C-3, Volume 15265
(for the period 1939/08-1941/12)

You mention that he ended up in Germany, so you may want to also have a look at the War Diary for Serial 4030 - 3rd Battalion, The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders (Canadian Army Occupation Force)

Reference: RG24, National Defence, Series C-3, Volume 15274
(for the period 1945/06-1945/11)

Reference: RG24, National Defence, Series C-3, Volume 15275
(for the period 1945/12-1946/05)

Unfortunately, you have to go to Library & Archives Canada in Ottawa to view the above mentioned files.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
