Re: Norm Cromie, a feisty 88 year old 48th Highlander
This is a message from Norm Cromie, a feisty 88 year old 48th Highlander and a member in long standing of MLU Forum:
Hi Folks: Just want to drop you a line to thank you all for the letters and correspondence I have had with you in the past. It has been a privilege to know you. My wife now does all my correspondence for me as I am on Hospice now. Apparently there is nothing more they can do for my heart. They have me on oxygen, morphine and other drugs around the clock to keep me comfortable. I have no complaint’s, I have had a good life. It has always been of great interest to me whenever I receive communication from anyone, especially about my regiment. It played such a big part in my life. I am now 88 years old and like I said before life has been good. This is just a note to let you all know that, that good old army food must have had some good in it. Ha ha I realize that you are all living in a busy world but if any of you folks out there have anything of interest about the regiment or it’s members I would greatly appreciate hearing it. All the best ... Norm Cromie B 73323 Rest easy my friend ...
