I think Terry is thinking of the M38A1. The mutt does not fasten with turnbuttons; just the curtain sliding into the channel at the front. The hinge (?) bar of the door fits into the little cup on the side of the mutt outside of the jeep approx where the driver's ankle is. The upper portion of the door goes into a little tin piece on the rod that ran between the rollcage and the windshield. The door handles closed onto the rollcage. Lastly, there was a webbing strap on the side of the door which held the door in place through a footman loop at the front bottom of the door opening.

I have the CFTOs at home showing the modifications and installation of the doors and their components, but I will be away until January. If you still need the info I can scan and post it then.
