I think I'll plan a filming trip. I have quite a few veterans in Sydney and Canberra to interview. Robert Pearce has a left tank so a right would be good.

Howard also has one but it's a Chevrolet version which of course would be OK in an emergency.

Thanks BCBlitz (can you please use your real name?) but the ends are a pressing which may be difficult to make, and it would only be a last option.

I think a pasta colander would be the only option - rice would go through the holes.

Perhaps I could do a book titled 101 uses for a dead fuel tank.
