Have you checked.....
Lee Valley who sells supplies for making canoes...... knife handles.....
Used to be a shop called "Capital findings" on Queen or Kings street in TO they supplied the leather industry and were a major suppliers for the Fort York Guards uniform/kit repro work. Same rivets where used in basketry....... suppliers..??? Good luck Bob
